by Jan Grauwels Visit Date:March 9, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Wij ( 57 en 63j oud) kozen dit hotel afgaande op de goede beoordelingen die we vonden op Internet(Agoda,Sawadee.com,Booking.com,Tripadvisor,Holiday-check).Wij verbleven in de voorbije 10 jaar in zowat 30 hotels in Thailand en kunnen beamen:dit is een ZEER GOED ADRES.Voor een dergelijke accommodatie betaal je in de populaire vakantie-oorden het dubbele.Hier wel geen Disco...maar Thaise vriendelijkheid.We verbleven er 1 week.Elke dag maakten we een fietstochtje (20-50km)door de mooie landelijke omgeving (wel uitkijken bij het oversteken van de drukke Phet Kasaem - road,en, als je echt bang bent voor loslopende honden, is het niet verstandig hier te gaan fietsen).Treinstation Thap Sakae(bij de dagmarkt) op 4km.Fiets kan mee op de trein.De dagtreinen stoppen in meer stations dan aangegeven op de uurregeling die op internet staat.Thap Sakae centrum , 1kmvoorbij het station:restaurantjes,apotheek,7-Eleven banken,ATM,Tesco-Lotus.Zandstrand op 300m ten zuiden van het resort(het strand noordelijk het resort:plastiek, koeien en honden) ,een goed restaurantje 400 m verder zuidelijk,rechts van de weg. s Avonds lekker eten in het resort kost nauwelijks meer.Zoals een bejaard Nederlands echtpaarhet bewoordde:Rocky Point Resort:heerlijk weg van de wereld! <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
February 6, 2011 by Anya Visit Date:January 30, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "I would highly recommend Rocky Point Resort - not only is it located beautifully with view over the beach, but the resort itself is small, homey, quiet and luxurious in a very non-pretentious way. Our stay was perfect and the staff was funny, sweeet, professional and really, really nice. When we drove off, they came out and waved good bye - staying at Rocky Point is an intimate and friendly experience that no five star fancy resort can compete with: The feeling of being welcome and being free to relax completely. (They even waited up for us, when we came well over midnight due to stupid planning on our side.) Absolutely fantastic place. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |

by Boonstra Visit Date:July 9, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "When we went into the small (bad) road, saw the resort from backside and went into the reception, our first impression was that this time we not had luck with the booking.This changed quickly when we passed the nice restaurant and where brought in kind way to one very nice room near the swimming pool and saw the resort from inside. Also the outdoor shower is very nice and special. Breakfast very good in the morning. The staff very friendly and helpful.On the beach you only have (nice) rocks there, but about 200 m after you have a very nice sandy beach if you like to go there. At a distance of 18 km you can get all you like in the touristic place Ban Krut .The only thing I not liked was after check out and the room was inspected and classified as ok, I was refused to get back the copy of my passport because they just wanted to keep it for some internal reasons. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |

A bit far from the city and attractions but very nice for a quiet holiday. The room is just very good, enough facilities, near the pool but no minibar. The price of the room is moderate enough. The pool is a bit small but warm and very comfort to relax and look out to the sea. The food at the restaurant are fair but poorly no dessert and wines. If you need those things you must drive into town. Also, I was amazed that the staff could speak English quite well. Overall, this hotel is very good for the people who need to get away from chaos life." |

A Paradise if you want a pieceful and quiet holiday. Excellent bungalows, superb pool-area. Friendly, helpful and serviceminded staff and management. Enjoyed my stay, and will come back." |
