by Rene van Dierendonck Visit Date:July 26, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Would not return to Nipa Resort. During the low season large groups of chinese tourists visit the hotel for 2 days after which a new group is coming. They are extremely noisy. They scream, they shout until very late and the Hotel management is not doing ANYTHING. Complained to the reception, but to no avail. Had to directly adress it to the chinese noise-makers themselves. When they continue like this, the hotel will be chinese-only within a year and a no-go location for tourists with any other nationality. A pity, as the hotel is otherwise pleasant." |

Excellent, fast and reliable. 3rd time with Sawadee, never any problems unlike Asia Rooms., January 22, 2009 by David Fergusson Visit Date:January 15, 2009 "The Nipa is a lovely hotel with excellent staff sent approx 10 mins walk from Soi Bangla and the beach. The rooms are very clean and well attended, however if you want a nice view ask foor a pool view, the city view is not too great and there is some building work going on nearby which starts at 8am. The pool area is lovely with views off the mountains as a backdrop. The food is OK and basic but you need to head into town if you want better quality and choice. The Hotel overall is Clean, comfortable and well located. The staff are attentive, happy to please, very welcoming and give good reason to return in the future. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
February 4, 2009 by Larry L Fogg Visit Date:January 10, 2009 "I was very impressed with this hotel. When my flight to Thailand was canceled causing my arrival to be delayed by one day, I called the hotel and they shifted my prepaid reservation by one day to accommodate my new arrival date without any cost to me. The facilities were adequate and the breakfasts were superb." |
Very efficient and reliable., November 12, 2008 by Gail and David Visit Date:October 19, 2008 "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nipa. The staff were delightful and made us welcome over our 2 week stay. The rooms were very comfortable, extremely clean and well maintained. All facilities within the room were modern. Our pool access was a definite attraction. Location suited us - 5 minute walk to beach. Will be returning on next visit. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
NIL., September 15, 2008 by Eugene Low Ooi Meng Visit Date:September 13, 2008 "Me wife and I broguht our 15mth old daughter here for her very first trip overseas. I had already checked the Resort out online and were looking forward to our stay. I must say that we were not disappointed! the hospitality was wonderful! The hotel staff were very accomondating to our request and saw to our needs very promptly. I must stongly recommend the pool access room! Heavenly! Breakfast was a little different from buffet style and was ok. Only drawbacks are location - a bit far from bustle - but good if that s what you re looking for! Also, a lot of construction going on around the hotel once you step out. Facilities-wise, apart from pool not much... generally a very nice spot to do R&R. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |

No problems., April 2, 2009 by Kevin Davis Visit Date:August 18, 2008 "Excellent hotel, friendly staff vary clean cold a/c, breakfast was fresh and simple. I had a pool access room witch there is only nine i highly recommend these rooms you can inter pool right from your balcony vary cool! Walking distance from everything 20min to beach or 15 to Bangala rd mall shopping and all the fun, but just fare enough away to be a peaceful hotel, ask the staff for a scooter rental its the best way to get around at about 30.00us a week. open vegge market and Hospital across the street. Loved my stay. Kevin Davis kgdavis63@yahoo.com [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
July 21, 2008 by LEE YIM PING Visit Date:July 9, 2008 "everything in the hotel is nice, front desk is nice, room is clean. But breakfast is the worst, they serve ABF set during this low season, there are only 2 eggs with 1 beacon & 1 sausage, then I ask for more beacon and sausage, they said NO , beacause I have ordered the eggs already, so cannot have beacon & sausage anymore. What policy??? I will not back again.... [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
Efficient and reliable. Fixed problem with booking very quickly., June 30, 2008 by John Haggerty Visit Date:June 15, 2008 "I booked this resort based on the photos and the very few reviews - so I was a little worried. Nevertheless, everything surpassed my expectations. This very new resort is simply one of the best for the price. The rooms are tastefully decorated, clean and spacious (nice high ceilings). A/C was great and there was Wifi Internet access available in my room (paid faster service and a free slower one good for email and chatting). The pool was excellent (deluxe pool access rooms are a nice touch and highly recommended. The staff was very friendly and helpful with decent English skills for all your basic needs. It was a pleasure to be greeted every day with good morning teacher after the pronunciation of teacher had been sorted out :) They made me feel at home for my entire stay and took care of everything I asked. The many staff take immaculate care of the rooms and many tropical plants and trees that surround the pool. The hotel is located within reasonable walking distance to Bangla and Jungceylon (right next to Patong Hospital if you have a map). They will arrange a cheap motorbike rental, supply a taxi service and offer a free shuttle to the beach at certain times throughout the day. The restaurant food was quite good and definitely had an authentic chef s touch. I really have nothing bad to say about this resort and I m often quite critical. I highly recommend this resort for anyone who wishes to have the look and feel of a high-priced resort without having to pay the extremely high price. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
Perfect not one problem at all. Can definately recommend. Great web site. Will use again., January 27, 2008 by Sam Sivan Gounder Visit Date:December 28, 2007 "Really nice hotel and really nice room. Reception was an absolute Joke. Worst customer service in Thailand, they were rude, disrespectful and should not be at the front counter. I ve never experienced such problems in my whole life with hotel reception. They made errors with double booking and not delivering what they said they would. They ruined our New Years Eve with their compulsory dinner which was an absolute joke, very unorganised reception. Will definately not recommend this hotel only because of the people at the front desk who are useless." |
Very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Grace for her assistance in changing the hotel booking date in such a short notice., January 2, 2008 by Chan Miu Lan Visit Date:December 23, 2007 "Very nice hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Most room had nice pool-view. Not much choices in buffet breakfast but still good enough for people not so picky like us. The location was perfect, just about 10 min s walk to the big shopping centre, Jungceylon and just 5 min s walk to our favourite massage shop, Season s. The only drawback was the road outside the hotel was still under construction and there was a construction site right across the road. After raining, the road was muddy and full of puddles. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
